Sunny VerMaas

Sunny began her real estate career in 1977, with American National Group, Beverly Hills, California. American National encompassed a full range of real estate related Companies, specializing in large residential subdivisions and apartment construction/management in Southern and Northern California, as well as areas of Arizona.

In 1985, she went 'independent' to work with two developers of large apartment complexes in Southern California. Working in this environment entailed all facets of development, from land acquisition and entitlement through construction completion and management of finished projects.

In 1991 Sunny relocated to Lahaina, West Maui where she has continued to work in the real estate field, specializing in Resort and residential real estate Island wide. Before joining Kapalua Realty in 2004, she owned and operated her own real estate company, Maui Paradise Properties, as a sole proprietorship and Principal Broker.

Her Real Estate licensing status includes a Hawaii Brokers License which was obtained in 1996, and a California Brokers License issued in 1989, which is used for real estate sales in South Lake Tahoe, California.

Along with a full time real estate career, she and her husband Richard volunteer time, helping to promote various fundraising efforts benefiting the community and improving the overall quality of life in Hawaii.

Off time pleasure pursuits include golf, tennis, scuba diving, photography -- pretty much anything do to with the outdoors since we live in such a perfect environment 12 months of the year!
